T-Mobile Nexus 6 could be receiving the WiFi calling update very soon

Motorola Nexus 6

Carriers have begun rolling out the WiFi calling feature for supported handsets, which can save a lot on call rates. Although T-Mobile has begun the update for some devices, the Google flagship has been exempt so far. But it seems like that will change soon as a T-Mobile official has confirmed that the WiFi calling feature for the Nexus 6 could start rolling out by the end of Q1, which could be any time in March.

Des on Twitter also said that the WiFi calling update will not be included in the VoLTE and the LTE 12 band update, so customers might have to wait for separate updates to get those features.

The inclusion of WiFi calling on these devices will be crucial as it allows users to make standard phone calls using their WiFi networks. Customers need to register their WiFi connection (home/office) before reaping the benefits of this feature. Other carriers like AT&T, Verizon and Sprint also have WiFi calling services for their customers.
