The HTC One M7 from Sprint started receiving the Android 5.0.2 update yesterday. And now, the carrier has begun sending out the update for last year’s One M8 flagship as well. The update comes with the build number 4.20.651.10.
The Sense UI remains on version 6.0 and as numerous reports have suggested, a lot won’t be different visually. Sure you’ll find some Material Design elements on the device and notifications on the lock screen, but it’s not the sort of change that Nexus users saw with the Android 5.0 update coming from Android 4.4.
This update essentially means that Sprint has finished rolling out the Android 5.0 update for both the One M7 and the One M8. The carrier is the first carriers in the U.S. to do so. The almost forgotten One Max flagship should also receive the Android 5.0 update, but there’s no word on when.
