Saygus V2 with dual microSD card slots now available for pre-order

Saygus V2

The Saygus V2 smartphone which stole the show at CES 2015 is now available for pre-order with a price tag of $599. Using the pre-order coupon code v2preorder will fetch you an additional $50 discount, thus bringing the price down to $549. The manufacturer says that the device will ship in 6-8 weeks, so you might have to wait a bit before getting your hands on this monster of a smartphone.

The Saygus V2 was announced and shown off at the CES 2015 event with what was touted as up to 320GB of internal storage. This is possible thanks to the dual microSD card slots on the device, each capable of taking 128GB cards. This combined with the 64GB of onboard storage would translate to 320GB of storage, although the actual user accessible storage will be much lesser.

In addition to its storage credentials, the device also comes with a 5 inch 1080p display, a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 chipset, a 21-megapixel camera on the back with optical image stabilization, a 13-megapixel front camera, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, Android 4.4.4 KitKat and a 3,100 mAh battery.

The smartphone also comes with Harman Kardon front speakers, an IR blaster, Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4, wireless charging with Qi and a water resistant body.

Perhaps the only downside of the device is the Android version, but barring that, the hardware specs sheet screams high end. With a price tag of just $549, this could be the smartphone to beat in the market. Of course, not a lot of people know about Saygus V2, so the company will mostly have to rely on word of mouth for publicity.

Are you willing to give the Saygus V2 a go?
