Pushbullet update brings desktop reply feature to a handful of apps

Pushbullet is a popularly used cross platform application which unifies all your devices, regardless of the platform. It can offer notifications from an Android device on a Mac or Window desktop or even through browser extensions.

The app has now received a significant update, allowing customers to directly reply to messages from some of the top IM clients available out there. At the moment, only apps like WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Hangouts, Telegram and Line are supported, but we can hope to have more apps joining the list in the future.

So this basically means that in addition to getting notifications about messages, you can now directly reply to them straight from your desktop without having to even touch your smartphone. WhatsApp recently got a similar feature called WhatsApp Web, although it was only limited to browsers.

If you want to reply to your Hangouts notifications however, the developers say that you will need the Android Wear app installed on your phone (owning a smartwatch is not necessary).
