OnePlus One getting SwiftKey keyboard by default this month

OnePlus One SwiftKey

OnePlus has announced that a new update to CyanogenMod 11S on the OnePlus One will introduce support for the SwiftKey keyboard by support. This system update will carry all the necessary files, so users will not require to additionally download the keyboard. Given the sour relationship between OnePlus and Cyanogen, this news is refreshing to the ears.

This will introduce all the bells and whistles associated with the SwiftKey keyboard, although additional themes will still cost users. OnePlus has also mentioned that its Android 5.0 based OxygenOS ROM is in its final stages, with more word expected on the 12th of February.

Speaking about the new addition, OnePlus said the following – “OnePlus has collaborated with SwiftKey to integrate their top-selling keyboard app right into CyanogenMod 11S. OnePlus One users can now switch to the SwiftKey keyboard with the touch of a button – no downloading required.”

The keyboard can be enabled by heading over to the keyboard settings after the new firmware update is rolled out to the OnePlus One later this month.
