Health cards now showing on Google Search results

Google Search Health

It was recently announced that Google Search on Android will show colorful and informative cards for health conditions. It seems like this feature has finally gone live as search results are now showing these cards. This feature could be region specific though as it’s only been spotted in the U.S. so far.

The feature works its magic in the background and users won’t have to do anything out of the ordinary to get the desired results. For example, if you’re looking for something like Chicken Pox, just a simple search query will suffice, with no other keywords needed.

Once the card is displayed, users can also check for symptoms as well as treatments available. This is very useful if you’re finding out about a new disease. There will also be statistical data on offer which gives users a rough idea of how serious the disease is and also a figure on the people affected by it over the years past. This tells users if it’s a common or rare condition.

The feature should be rolling out with an update to Google Search, so users won’t have to do anything to get it on their devices. If you’re already seeing the feature on your Android device, make sure you let us know in the comments below.
