Android 5.0 Lollipop for the Sony Xperia Z3 gets certified

Sony Xperia Z3

Sony’s premier flagship device, the Xperia Z3 could be getting its Android 5.0 update soon. The update has reportedly been certified by the WiFi Alliance, which is an indication of its imminent arrival. The certification was provided a couple of days ago, so customers might not have to wait long to get their hands on the Lollipop update for Sony’s flagship handset.

Unfortunately, we don’t have much information on when the update will be rolled out, so it seems like the customers will have to wait for more details from the Japanese manufacturer. The Android 5.0 update is already seeding to flagships from Samsung, HTC and even LG, so as one of the top mobile OEMs, it behooves Sony to fast forward the rollout of the update.
