Galaxy Note Edge

American carrier U.S. Cellular will reportedly start offering the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge smartphone on the 7th of January according to an announcement made by the carrier. The smartphone will also make its way to Verizon Wireless, but a day later n the 8th of January.

The pricing for the smartphone has been set at $399.99 with a two year contract while customers can also choose the $0 down monthly installment plans from the network. The carrier is yet to announce the off contract and monthly installment rates, but it shouldn’t exceed $35 by our calculations.

The Galaxy Note Edge is very unique in its concept as it packs a curved display which can be used to display notifications on one side of the handset. Apart from this glaring change, the hardware on board the smartphone is pretty identical to the Galaxy Note 4. This inclues the QHD resolution display, the Snapdragon 805 quad core chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage with a microSD card slot, Android 4.4.4 KitKat and a 3,000 mAh battery on the back.

Any takers?
