Official Android 5.0.2 ROM for the Nexus 10 up for grabs

Nexus 10

After the Android 5.0.2 update for the Nexus 7 went live earlier today, the Nexus 10 ROM is also up for grabs. Just as the Nexus 7 update file, this one too is coming directly from Google, so you can download it without worry. You will have to make sure that your device has the build number LRX22C to be compatible with the new LRX22G build.

The 5.0.2 update should mostly fix some bugs in the Android system, so you won’t be able to see any obvious visual changes. But still, it’s good to see that Google supports a 2012 tablet with the latest software. Sadly, the same can’t be said about the cellular Nexus 7 (2013) or the first gen Nexus 7.

As of now, the Android 5.0.2 update is only available for the WiFi Nexus 7 from 2013 and the Nexus 10 tablet. The Nexus 6, Nexus 5 or the Nexus 4 are exempt from this new update and are still running Android 5.0.1.

However, manufacturers like HTC and Motorola are expected to be working on the Android 5.0.2 ROM for their smartphones. But this could be a case of the manufacturers wanting their devices to run the latest version of Android more than anything else.
