Motorola rolling out Android 5.0 for the 1st and 2nd gen Moto G

Moto G

The Android 5.0 update schedule for the Moto G has been somewhat erratic. Customers in some regions have already received the update while others are yet to get it. Motorola is trying to change that today, at least to some extent, by rolling out the Android 5.0 update for the 1st gen Moto G in India and the 2nd gen Moto G in India and the U.S. A large number of customers are already seeing the update apparently, so it shouldn’t be long before you have it on your device.

It is interesting to note that Motorola is believed to have kept the update almost stock with not a lot of custom modifications made to the ROM. Also, users will be treated to the latest Android 5.0.2 ROM here and not 5.0.1 like most Nexus smartphones.

This is an over the air update, but you can also check for an update manually if you’re impatient. It changes the build to LBX22, so make a note of that.

Do you own either of the aforementioned handsets and are you seeing the Android 5.0 update? Let us know below.
