Reports in the past have indicated that LG could be prepping the launch of the G Flex 2 smartphone at the CES 2015 event in Las Vegas next week. A new report from South Korea now reiterates that the smartphone will launch during the event as originally rumored.
It is also mentioned that this smartphone will be the first to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 64-bit chipset. And although technically the Galaxy Note 4 LTE-A should get that honor, the report says that it is only packing a 32-bit processor unlike the G Flex 2.
There’s still quite a lot we don’t know about the smartphone, so we’ll reserve judgment until then. If the predecessor is anything to go by, the G Flex 2 should also be packing a flexible curved display along with the self healing back cover that made a lot of news last year.
It has been rumored before that the smartphone would feature a slightly smaller display unlike the G Flex to make it more pocket friendly. If that’s the case, the G Flex 2 could certainly grab some eyeballs during the CES next week.
