Huawei to launch new tablets and Android Wear smartwatch at the MWC

Chinese manufacturer Huawei plans to keep itself very busy at the MWC this March. With the arrival of several devices like the Mate 7 Compact, Mate 8 and the P8 expected during the event, a new revelation claims that the company is also looking to unveil a new wearable and a bunch of tablets in Barcelona.

The smartwatch will reportedly be based on Android Wear, which is good news for fans of Google’s wearable platform. There will also be a top end smart band from the company apparently.

Reports further mention that the company will launch one or more tablets at the MWC event. There are no details available on these devices yet, but we’re certain the surprise won’t last long.

The company plans to focus on the high end segment in 2015, with plans to ship upwards of 100 million devices in 2015. The company has sold nearly 75 million units in 2014, so this is a realistic estimate from the Chinese manufacturer.

We’re particularly interested in seeing what the company has to offer with its Android Wear smartwatch. Of course, most of this is pure speculation at this point, so we suggest you take it with a pinch of salt.
