Google Fiber Confirmed For 4 New Cities

Already available in three different cities in the US, Google Fiber is now coming to four new ones, mostly in the Southeastern portion.

For those unfamiliar, Google Fiber is Internet service from Google that can reach up to 1000 Mbps for download speeds. Compared to most ISPs (internet service providers), this is much faster. This is the list of new and existing Google Fiber cities, with the new ones emboldened:

  • Atlanta, Georgia
  • Austin, Texas
  • Charlotte, North Carolina
  • Kansas City, Kansas
  • Nashville, Tennessee
  • Provo, Utah
  • The Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area

Google has not said when these new areas will be getting Google Fiber, but they recently started taking signups in Austin last December, so it could be a little while. But for those of you in those communities, you should be getting better Internet soon.
