There’s been very little spoken about the LG G4, with most rumors focusing on the HTC One M9 and the Samsung Galaxy S6. But this new revelation could certainly turn people’s attention towards LG’s upcoming flagship. A new finding by MyLGPhones has revealed that the G4 could feature a pixel dense 3K or 2880 x 1620 resolution display.
The device in question is revealed to be packing the model number LG-VS999. Considering that we stumbled across the LG H810 which was said to be the AT&T version of the G4, we’re a little surprised by this new revelation.
As the source rightly mentions, these figures on a User Agent Profile are very easy to modify and alter, so take it with a pinch of salt. While OEMs are quite eager to take the display resolution race further, we don’t think devices can do any better than QHD or 2K displays at this point.
The LG G4 is also expected to be packing the octa core Snapdragon 810 SoC, which has made the news consistently over the past few weeks. We can expect to learn more about the LG flagship at the MWC 2015 in March or perhaps at a standalone event in May.
