Sony Xperia M2 Aqua receiving the Android 4.4.4 KitKat update

Xperia M2 Aqua

Sony has officially started seeding the Android 4.4.4 update for the Xperia M2 Aqua handset. The Xperia M2 received the update not too long ago, so it was only a matter of time before its water resistant sibling got the update as well. As for the changes, there’s not much to expect as far as features are concerned. However, expect the usual suit of performance enhancements and bug fixes to be on board.

If the update for the Xperia M2 is anything to go by, the Notes app on the smartphone will probably disappear. But not to worry as it can be downloaded from the XDA Forums page here. Barring this, there shouldn’t be a lot of other changes with the Android 4.4.4 update on the Xperia M2 Aqua.

The smartphone is available in two models – D2403 and D2406 (American variant). The former is currently seeing the update while the latter should get it subsequently as well. If you’re already seeing the update on your Xperia M2 Aqua, make sure you let us know by dropping a comment below.
