Samsung to begin Android 5.0 rollout for American Galaxy handsets in January

According to reports coming from Reddit, Samsung USA will begin rollout of Android 5.0 for smartphones starting next month. It is said that the Samsung Galaxy S5 will be the first to receive the update followed by the Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge. Beyond this, devices like the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 3 will get the update sometime in February.

Samsung tablets like the Galaxy Tab S should get the update sometime later. Most of these updates are dependent on the carriers, so it might take slightly longer than expected. Either way, it’s good to know that Samsung is keen on getting the latest update for its devices and we expect to know more in the coming weeks.
