Patent filing reveals existence of multiple new LG tablets

LG has just filed patent applications for a variety of G Pad tablets, indicating at the launch of multiple large sized devices in 2015. Names like G Pad II, G Pad X, G Pad F and G Pad have been spotted at the USPTO, hinting that something is brewing over at LG’s labs.

Of course, there’s not much information to go with at the moment, but we should hear more about these tablets at the MWC event in Barcelona next year. We must remember that patent filings aren’t usually indicative of an actual launch, but listings like these have seldom gone wrong, so there’s no reason why we shouldn’t see these tablets launching next year.

LG launched the G Pad 7.0, 8.0 and 10.1 this year, so it’s natural to assume that a successor is in the works. It will be interesting to see what the G Pad X and the G Pad F have to offer. Could it be premium grade tablets to take on the high end market segment? Only time will tell.
