According to Sprint, the LG Nexus 5 will start receiving the Android 5.0.1 update today. This comes almost a week after the Nexus 6 and the Nexus 4 received the update and the Nexus 5 was mysteriously left out, so the turnaround time from the carrier hasn’t been all that bad.
Sprint’s support page states that an update with the build LRX22C will start rolling out today (December 15). As for the changes included in this update, Sprint says that it comes with miscellaneous Android upgrades, so it could be anything. But we’ve come to realize that Android 5.0.1 mostly fixes under the hood bugs, so the changes might not be immediately apparent for the users. So if you’ve been wanting to get your hands on the latest version of Android on your Nexus 5, your wait might be finally over.
