HTC Hima to launch after the MWC 2015 event

HTC One M8 Official

The HTC Hima has already made its way to the rumor mill on multiple occasions with a launch expected to take place during the MWC 2015 event in March. But today, a report is claiming that the smartphone will not break cover until after the event is finished. This means we won’t get to see the next major HTC flagship in March, but probably a little later.

Considering that the One M8 was launched in late March, it is possible that HTC is going for a similar launch time frame this time around as well. There’s much left to our imagination at this point, but this does seem likely given HTC’s hesitance to share the limelight with big companies during the MWC event.

The Hima flagship or the One M9 as it is known, will feature a 5 inch 1080p display, a 64-bit octa core Snapdragon 810 chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, a 20.7-megapixel camera on the back and Android 5.0.1 Lollipop with the latest version of the Sense UI.

  1. Based on my experience with the M8 developer edition, if they release a similar dev model for the Hima I will definately be buying one. M8 was easily the best phone of 2014. And if the rumors are true the M9 will shore up the one weakness the M8 had in the rear camera. Really looking forward to this puppy.
