Google no longer selling White and Red Nexus 5

Nexus 5

Google and LG have officially halted sales of the Red as well as the White version of the Nexus 5 smartphone. The Play Store page of the handset has completely removed both variants from the listing, giving users only the Black model to pick from. This could be a sign of things to come as Google urges customers to make the switch to the Nexus 6, which is the current flagship.

However for those willing to have a smaller display and a more ergonomic design, this will come as very disappointing news. It shouldn’t be long until Google removes the Black model from the Play Store as well, so get them while you still can.

Google took the world by surprise when it announced the Nexus 6, focusing on the large smartphone segment, leaving only the Nexus 5 for standard smartphone users. And this latest move has certainly alarmed Nexus enthusiasts and could be a hint of what’s to come. What do you think about this decision taken by Google? Can the Nexus 5 last another 6 months or perhaps an year?
