AT&T rolling out VoLTE feature for the Galaxy S4 Mini

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini

The AT&T branded Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is now getting an update which introduces the VoLTE feature on the device. The update doesn’t change the Android version, which remains on 4.4.2 KitKat. Other changes included in the update are the ability to make 911 emergency calls even without a SIM card on the device. There are the usual range of bug fixes in tow as well.

The ability to make voice calls using the 4G LTE network is certainly a noteworthy addition, assuming you have support for the feature in your region. The update is a hefty 102MB in size, but could exceed 500MB if you have an older build running on the Galaxy S4 Mini.

The device is still on Samsung’s software support umbrella, considering that it was launched only last year and features and updates like these certainly make the lives of the customers a lot easier. Have you received the update on your smartphone yet? Let us know below.
