Verizon launches Employee Edition Motorola Droid Turbo for $99

Droid Turbo Employee Edition

Following the launch of the Verizon branded Droid Turbo last week, the carrier has now launched a special Employee Edition version of the smartphone meant specifically for people working with Verizon. The smartphone has a special red trim on the sides to make it stand out from the regular variant but packs the same hardware underneath.

Verizon is only offering the 64GB model which carries a price tag of $99.99 with a two year agreement or $499.99 off contract, which is a very reasonable price tag for the device. Of course, it’s not available for all which is a big caveat. But if you know somebody who works with Verizon, maybe you can try getting your hands on this cheaper Droid Turbo. To avoid selling off devices at a profit, Verizon will mark each unit with a serial number.

Verizon also had an employee edition variant of the Droid Ultra last year, so this is clearly not a first for the carrier. It behooves Verizon to take care of its employees with perks like these considering that it’s the largest carrier in the U.S.
