Unlocked version of the Sony Xperia Z3 arrives on Sony’s official store for $679.99

Sony Xperia Z3

Sony Mobile USA has just launched the unlocked version of the Xperia Z3 on its official website. The smartphone is already available through T-Mobile and Verizon in the U.S. but the Japanese manufacturer is also offering a chance to get the handset directly from its website without any contractual obligations. This means you’ll have to pay a steep price up front which in this case is $679.99. This is not a lot compared to other flagships that are available today, but still quite a lot to spend on a smartphone.

The Xperia Z3 will start shipping to customers this Monday on the 10th of November, so you’ll have to wait a few days before getting your hands on the device. It comes with support for LTE Bands 1-5,7,8,13,17, and 20 so you can get yourself a GSM SIM card from any compatible carrier and access the LTE networks without much trouble. Sony is offering the smartphone in Black, White, Silver Green and Copper.

Considering that this is Sony’s latest offering, the hardware specifications are on level with most flagships that are available in the market today. The handset comes equipped with a 5.2 inch 1080p display, a 20.7-megapixel camera, a quad core 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 SoC, 3GB of RAM, Android 4.4.4 KitKat and a 3,100 mAh battery. The smartphone also supports PS4 Remote Play feature by default which allows you to resume gameplay from your PS4 on the smartphone.
