Motorola brings Material Design update to Camera and Gallery apps

Motorola Gallery - Camera

The Motorola Gallery and Camera apps have received a new update which introduces Material Design elements. Since both apps are available from the Google Play Store for Motorola devices, the update should arrive rather swiftly if you own a Moto X, Moto G or the Moto E. The UI is seeing the biggest change with these updates along with some neat functionality based additions to the Gallery app.

The camera app now lets you conveniently switch to the front camera with a twist gesture, which should make it easier to snap selfies quickly. Motorola has also added a new timer option in the camera to give ample time to place the device at a convenient location and take those wide group shots.

These are decent additions¬†to Motorola devices and you should find the updates rolling out just about any time now, with some devices reportedly receiving it over the weekend already. If you’re one of those users, make sure you let us know what you think of the changes.
