The Meizu MX4 Pro has finally gone official featuring a drool-worthy hardware specs sheet. The smartphone has been in the rumor mill for quite some time now, but it’s finally good to know that the device has seen an official release. The release of the MX4 Pro comes just a couple of months after the MX4 was revealed by the Chinese manufacturer, so there hasn’t been a long gap between devices.
Staying in line with the current trend, Meizu has implemented a 5.5 inch 2560 x 1536 resolution display into the relatively slim body of the MX4 Pro. Other features include 3GB of RAM, a 20.7-megapixel camera with an f/2.2 lens, a 5-megapixel front camera, Samsung’s Exynos 5430 true octa core chipset, Android 4.4 KitKat with Meizu’s Flyme 4.0 UI and a 3,350 mAh battery. The smartphone will be sold in 16, 32 and 64GB configurations starting next month.
Pricing for the smartphone has been set at CNY 2499 which is roughly around $408, making it the cheapest Quad HD smartphones to be sold in the world today. Meizu is quite popular in the Chinese market for its low cost high utility flagship offerings. And with the MX4 Pro, the company is surely aiming high. There’s no word on whether the MX4 Pro will be sold outside China, but we’re not ruling it out yet.
