LG could launch a Lollipop running midranger for AT&T and T-Mobile

LG Logo

According to a new leak, LG is looking to launch a midrange offering for the American markets in partnership with AT&T and T-Mobile. There’s no in-depth details on the hardware here, but it is revealed to be packing a 720p display and Android 5.0 by default, which makes it a very desirable midrange handset.

The device has leaked in three model numbers – LG-H440n, LG-H441 and LG-H443 which could be carrier versions of the same device. The latter two are reportedly headed towards T-Mobile and AT&T respectively while the LG-H440n could be a global version of the device. Since these variants are shown to be packing support for T-Mobile and AT&T’s networks, it’s safe to assume that they will feature LTE support out of the box. With LG being among the first to bring Android 5.0 to its smartphones, it’s no surprise that it’s already testing new devices with Lollipop.

It’s still early in the day to comment on the authenticity of this leak, so we’ll treat this as a rumor until then.
