With all the talk about the Moto 360 and the LG G Watch R recently, it’s easy to forget about the Sony Smartwatch 3, which was announced in early September. Google has now officially started selling the device from the Play Store with a price tag of $250. This is the same pricing as the Moto 360, so Sony might have a hard time convincing customers to shell out that sort of money for a square faced wearable.
With the LG G Watch, G Watch R, the Moto 360 and the Samsung Gear Live already available through the Play Store, the arrival of Smartwatch 3 officially makes it the fifth Android Wear option available for interested buyers. Functionality wise, it’s pretty much the same as any other Android Wear offering, but it’s the design that makes all the difference. The Smartwatch 3 is also water resistant like its other Android Wear brethren, which is a good feature to have on a wearable.
Will you be willing to consider the Smartwatch 3 over circular display wearables like the LG G Watch R and the Moto 360? Let us know below.
