Gameloft ports 10 games for the Nexus Player in time for launch

Nexus Player - Official

Gameloft has announced the release of 10 games tailored for the Google Nexus Player as it prepares to arrive on customers’ doorsteps. The Nexus Player went up for pre-order not too long ago and it’s good to know that the developer already has some games to prepare for the launch day. You can expect to find the following games in the Play Store when you get the Nexus Player.

  • Despicable Me: Minion Rush
  • Asphalt 8: Airborne
  • Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour
  • Modern Combat 5: Blackout
  • GT Racing 2: The Real Car Experience
  • Dungeon Hunter 4
  • My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic
  • Wonder Zoo
  • Ice Age Village
  • World at Arms

While these games won’t exactly replicate the true console experience, it will serve up as a decent alternative for your conventional handheld mobile games. Considering that they’ve been specifically designed¬†to work on the bigger screen, customers can expect smoother frame rates and fluid gameplay as well. The Nexus Player has been priced at $99, but the Bluetooth powered ASUS gaming controller will set you back by an extra $39. So out of the box, the Nexus Player can only do a handful of things.
