Camera tweak for the Galaxy Note 4 increases performance to a great extent

Galaxy Note 4

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 already boasts of a great camera, but the folks over at XDA have managed to tinker around a bit to make it even better. This new mod increases the duration of high definition video recording. While the camera app on the smartphone originally lets you capture 4K UHD videos for up to 5 minutes, this mod increases that to 30 minutes. The dual FHD recording time has been bumped from 5 minutes to 10 minutes thanks to this tweak.

The mod also removes the file compression applied by default on still images, thus increasing the JPEG image quality from 96% to 100%. The developers have also added some visual changes to the camera app to make accessibility a little easier. So if you have a rooted Galaxy Note 4, this camera app could come in handy to you. Interested users can find the entirety of the changes from the detailed XDA post via the link provided below.

Bear in mind that this is a third party camera solution and not coming directly from Samsung, so make sure you’re aware of the risks before installing it on your Galaxy Note 4.
