Android 5.0 with HTC Sense shown off in screenshots

HTC Sense - Android 5.0

The Android 5.0 update will make its way to HTC devices starting with the Google Play Edition variants this week. But what about the versions running HTC’s stock Sense UI skin? Well a new leak has now given us a glimpse of HTC’s iteration of the Android 5.0 update. The leak shows a multitasking window, the notifications shade and the quick settings menu, but nothing beyond that. Strangely, HTC has kept the icons unchanged, which could change before the final build of Android 5.0 is made available.

The leak comes from a renowned source of HTC leaks, so we have some reason to believe that this is indeed legitimate. The Android 5.0 update for HTC’s Sense UI running devices are expected to rollout by early 2015, so there’s still a couple of months to go. The HTC One M8 will be the first on the list to get the update with other offerings such as the One M7, One E8, the Desire Eye, One Mini 2 etc expected to be on the list as well.

What do you think about these screenshots? Are you impressed with what HTC has done with Android 5.0?
