A new report suggests that Samsung’s Galaxy A series of devices such as the A3, A5 and the A7 will launch in November. The smartphones have been part of the leaks for quite some time now, so the launch is long overdue. The report suggests that Samsung will launch all three handsets together, probably in China with other markets to hopefully follow suit subsequently. It is said that Samsung intends to target Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi with these new lineup of handsets.
As is the case in the Chinese market, pricing will be crucial to make any sort of impact. So it will be interesting to see how Samsung goes about this with regards to the Galaxy A series of devices. Various reports have hinted that Samsung will price the three devices under $500, thus giving industry rivals a run for their money.
The Galaxy A7 is expected to be the biggest and the most powerful of the lot with a Snapdragon 615 SoC and a 5.2 inch 1080p display. The Galaxy A5 and the Galaxy A3 on the other hand will be midrange offerings. All three devices will feature premium build quality, akin to the Galaxy Alpha which was launched a couple of months ago.
