OnePlus One pre-orders to go live for an hour on Oct. 27

OnePlus One

The OnePlus One smartphone will finally go up for pre-order starting next week, according to a release issued by the company. But there’s a caveat here. The pre-orders will go live only for an hour, which means that there will only be a limited number of units on offer. This is the company’s way of making up for the invites fiasco which left fans red faced.

OnePlus promised to begin pre-orders for the smartphone in October and it’s good to see the company is living up to its word, albeit in a slightly unconventional fashion. Unfortunately for the company, the arrival of newer flagships like the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Motorola Nexus 4 will not make life any easier.

The pre-orders go live on Monday the 27th of October at 15:00 GMT or 8AM Pacific Time. So make sure you set a reminder if you’ve been waiting to get your hands on the smartphone. OnePlus is accepting payments through PayPal and recommends users to sign up for a OnePlus account and add the device on their cart, so that it can be pre-ordered instantly when the timer sets off on Monday.
