LTE Nexus 7 now getting the Android 4.4.4 OTA update

Nexus 7

The 2013 Nexus 7 LTE is now getting the Android 4.4.4 OTA update, just a few days after Google posted the factory image of the update on its servers. The tablet is already running Android 4.4.3, so this is a very minor update as far as changes are concerned.

The update patches a few pertinent bugs while bringing some minor performance enhancements as well. Since the update is coming directly from Google, it should begin rolling out immediately. However, if it hasn’t landed on your device yet, make sure you head over to the settings and pull it manually.

Google has waited quite a while to bring the update to the LTE Nexus 7 users, while the WiFi model has already received Android 4.4.4 back in June along with other Nexus devices. The update was sent out almost immediately after sending out Android 4.4.3 as it left an Open SSL related vulnerability open.

Have you received the Android 4.4.4 update on your LTE Nexus 7? Sound off below.
