HTC One M8 receiving Android 4.4.4 and EYE Experience features

HTC One M8

Just as HTC announced the Desire Eye and the RE camera last evening, its flagship smartphone from earlier this year, the One M8 is now receiving the Android 4.4.4 update. This also comes with HTC’s EYE Experience features which were announced along with the Desire Eye. Smartphones like the One E8, the One Mini 2, the Desire 816, the Desire 820 and many more will receive the same set of features in the coming days.

The EYE Experience software will introduce features like Split Capture, Face Tracking and Face Fusion which were shown off last evening. These features let you use the front and back cameras of the smartphone or combine two images at once accordingly.

The update is over 252MB in size and is rolling out to the unlocked models of the smartphone. As you would imagine, the update will take its time to reach all devices, even more so if you own a carrier variant of the One M8. Already received the update?
