Google Hangouts officially supports free 1-min voice calls to 25 countries

Google Hangouts

The Google Hangouts app is now receiving the ability to make free one minute voice calls to 25 countries. Hangouts currently lets users make domestic voice calls for free, but customers needed credit on their account to make overseas calls. Keeping that in mind, Google’s decision to allow 1 minute voice calls abroad at no cost is certainly going to be well received. While this won’t necessarily let you have an actual conversation with your loved ones, it’s long enough to convey short messages.

It is said that Google will run this promotion till the end of the year. For those willing to have longer conversations with the overseas contacts, you can check out Google’s international call rates for a better idea of how much credit you’ll need on your account.

This promo is a nice way of getting new customers into Hangouts voice calling. Check out the link below for more details on this new promotion. Bear in mind that you will need the Hangouts Dialer app to place calls.
