The LG G Flex from last year struck a breakthrough for the company in display technology. And while it didn’t receive the success or acclaim that the manufacturer expected, it certainly was a remarkable device. And today we’re hearing about a successor of the smartphone, which is reportedly going to be smaller in size. The original G Flex was quite enormous with its 6 inch display, so it’s only fair that the company has decided to shrink the size.
However, the design should be relatively unchanged as that’s what made the device stand out from the crowd. We hope to see the “self healing” back cover in action as well. LG failed to be the first to bring a curved display smartphone to the market as Samsung’s Galaxy Round took that crown. But LG’s offering was launched on a global scale while the Galaxy Round remained a South Korean exclusive. So with that in mind, it’s clear that the G Flex had more of an impact on the world market compared to the Galaxy Round.
We’ll be keeping a close eye on the LG G Flex 2 and bring you all the latest information as we have on the handset.
