Lenovo Tab S8 announced with an Intel chipset and a budget price tag

Lenovo Tab S8

Lenovo has just unveiled its latest budget offering known as the Tab S8 sporting a pretty decent specs sheet. The highlight of the device apart from the price is the Intel ATOM processor that’s being used on board. Lenovo has used Intel chipsets on its smartphones before, so this isn’t a first for the company.

Other specs of the tablet include an 8 inch 1920 x 1200 resolution display, 16GB of internal storage (non-expandable), 2GB of RAM, a very capable 8-megapixel camera on the back with a 1.6-megapixel front camera, Android 4.4 KitKat and a 4,390 mAh battery. All this with a price tag of just $199 for the WiFi model, which is pretty decent by budget standards. There will also be a cellular model but the company hasn’t shared details on that yet.

The tablet will be available globally according to Lenovo with no clarification on whether American carriers will be involved. The Lenovo Tab S8 can be bought in white, blue, yellow and black color variants.
