WhatsApp beta update brings support for Android Wear smartwatches

WhatsApp Android Wear

One of the most widely used instant messaging apps in the world, WhatsApp, has officially made its way to Android Wear starting today. This is possible thanks to a beta update rolled out by the developers. Users can view all their messages right within their wrist and even reply to conversations using voice typing.

A message can be viewed in its entirety and the app uses stacked notifications as well, which means you’ll get a +1 or +2 sign depending on the unread conversations waiting for you on the app. It works pretty seamlessly with the device and can be side loaded through WhatsApp’s official website. This is necessary as the latest version (2.11.320) hasn’t been pushed to the Play Store just yet.

All you have to do on your smartphone is install the latest version of WhatsApp and your Android Wear smartwatch will start showing notifications as seen in the screenshots above. Download and install the latest version of WhatsApp from the link below and let us know what you think of the experience.
