Most of us remember the HTC One M8, but not a lot of us have any memory of the One E8, which is a One M8 enclosed in a plastic shell and without the Duo Camera arrangement. And Sprint seems to be prepping the launch of the handset, if a new promo video is anything to go by. Although nothing has been made official yet, the promo video is pretty solid confirmation that the device is indeed headed towards Sprint.
The HTC One E8 sports a 5 inch 1080p display, a 13-megapixel camera on the back, a 5-megapixel front camera, a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 801 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, Android 4.4 KitKat and a 2,600 mAh battery. So essentially, it’s a plastic One M8 with a better camera (on paper). There’s no word on the pricing or release date at the moment, but we don’t think Sprint will take too long to release the One E8. We expect the device to be cheaper than the One M8, so a pricing of around $150 seems appropriate.
