A couple of months ago, we were told that Samsung and Barnes & Noble were teaming up to launch a special edition Galaxy Tab 4. Marketed as having the “best of both worlds“, the Galaxy Tab 4 Nook will have some exclusive features compared to the standard variant of the tablet.
And to make the tablet more attractive to the users, B&N will be bundling in a bunch of titles and content as well. The tablet isn’t running TouchWiz, but a customized variant of the Nook UI on top of Android 4.4 KitKat which is in line with previous Nook devices.
The device packs a 7 inch 1280 x 800 resolution display, a 1.2 GHz quad core processor, a 3-megapixel camera on the back, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and Android 4.4.2 KitKat.
The tablet will cost $199 during launch but Barnes & Noble will offer the device for just $179 for early adopters, taking 10% off the asking price with an instant rebate. Both the white and black variants of the tablets will be available from the online and retail outlets of B&N.
