The Moto X was confirmed to be getting the Android L update last month when the company’s support team gave out the information to a customer. However, nothing was made official by the company. But that changes today with the company’s VP of Product Management, Punit Soni, confirming the arrival of the update via Google+. He responded in the affirmative to a user query, thus putting an end to the worry of Moto X owners.
Motorola was always known to be supporting the latest builds of Android, which is possible due to the stock Android ROMs its devices run. The company is yet to confirm if the Moto G and the Moto E will get the update, but we don’t see why not since the two smartphones run a relatively stock version of Android. As it’s only a confirmation at this point, there’s no word on when the update will arrive. But we’re sure the customers won’t have to wait much longer after Nexus and GPE devices start getting the update.
