A new leak coming through Twitter source @UpLeaks has revealed potential hardware details of the upcoming HTC Nexus 8 tablet. According to the leak, the tablet could be one of the most powerful Android devices to have launched yet, making use of Android L’s support for 64-bit CPU architecture.

It is said that Google will go with a NVIDIA Tegra 64-bit chipset again this year. Other rumored specs of the tablet include 4GB of RAM (also a first for Android tablets) and an 8-megapixel camera. The display is believed to be 8.9 inches in size with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels.

Given that last year’s Nexus tablet was announced in July, it is likely that the Nexus 8 is right around the corner. However, since the tablet is expected to launch with Android L out of the box, it is more likely that Google will launch the device along with the next Nexus smartphone, probably in November. The tablet is rumored to cost over $300 at launch, which is expected for a powerful device of this nature.
