Android based motorcycle helmet Skully goes up on Indiegogo

Skully Helmet

Motorcycling enthusiasts pay much attention to their riding gear as much as the bike itself. And knowing this very well, a team of brothers are now bringing a safety oriented motorcycle helmet called Skully AR-1. It comes with a heads-up display as well as a rear view camera, which is a rather unique and much needed feature for a two-wheeler helmet. It runs Android out of the box and can pair with your smartphone via Bluetooth and use the internet connection as well.

Given the heads-up display on offer, users will be able to navigate to their desired destinations using Maps and do a whole lot more. Of course, safety is the primary objective behind Skully, so there will be no compromises in that area. But at $1400, the Skully helmet will certainly not go easy on your wallets. But that’s a small price to pay for convenience and safety.

Skully Details

Unsurprisingly, Skully AR-1 has already more than doubled its Indiegogo campaign goal within hours, which speaks volumes about the buzz it has created. The makers promise to ship the finished product to backers starting May 2015 in either Gloss White or Matte Black colors with sizes ranging from small to XXL.
