Users can now download paid apps on Android Wear

Android Wear

A recent revelation suggested that users of Android Wear smartwatches like the LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live were unable to download paid apps from the Play Store due to a bug. Google has quickly acknowledged this and issued a patch which finally allows users of its smartwatch OS to download paid apps as well.

As of now, there aren’t a lot of paid apps for Android Wear, but those looking to get hold of the few that are available, can do so with relative ease. The root cause of the problem was Google’s security feature in the Play Store which encrypts paid apps so as to avoid piracy. But this also meant that users were unable to extract the apps on Android Wear devices. But users will be very glad that the issue has finally been fixed. Will you be looking to spend money for Android Wear apps on the Play Store or settle with free apps instead?
