Samsung Gear Live and LG G Watch Getting Updates

The first Android Wear devices may have just arrived on some peoples’ doorsteps, but they are already getting software updates. The Samsung Gear Live received its first update last night and the LG G Watch has gotten it this morning.

The Samsung Gear Live’s update keeps the firmware at Android 4.4W and the build number has been increased to KMV78V. There are no release notes for this update, but presumably it fixes some last minute bugs.

Like the Gear Live, the LG G Watch’s update also has no release notes to go with it and has the same build number, KMV78V, running on the same Android 4.4W firmware.

If you’re one of the lucky few you have received their Android Wear device already, go ahead and update. To update, tap the screen to open the menu, and then scroll to Settings and open that app. Then scroll down to “About” and tap “System Updates.”
