OnePlus One getting stock Android 4.4.4 ROM

OnePlus One

The OnePlus One runs on a custom build of Android developed by the Cyanogen team. And today, OnePlus has officially given users the option to flash the stock Android 4.4.4 ROM for the smartphone. This will have no special features that was seen on the CM11S version of OnePlus One, so you might find the experience a bit different if you’re coming from the default ROM on the OnePlus One.

It’s good to know that the makers are offering the option of flashing the latest version of Android until the Cyanogen team finishes working on its own version. As of now, there’s no word on when the CM skinned Android 4.4.4 ROM will hit OnePlus One smartphones, so customers might have to wait a while.

OnePlus has given out a fresh batch of 5,000 invites to interested customers, calling it the “Blizzard of Invites”. If you’ve been lucky enough to get hold of these invites or already own the device, this new revelation should come in handy.
