World Cup video highlights now available on Google Now

Google Now World Cup

Not too long ago, Google introduced a cool video highlights feature for after match highlights during the NBA season. Well, Google has brought the same feature to Google Now for the ongoing FIFA World Cup. The feature basically shows the most recent goal during the match along with the exact minute when it was scored.

It’s a pretty nifty feature really, especially if you use the Google Now score tracker for the World Cup. The video pop up appears right above Google Now, so it’s the first thing you’ll notice if you have the setting enabled.

The video comes courtesy of ESPN in the U.S. although there’s no word on whether it will be shown to users outside the country due to complications related to broadcasting rights. There’s no need for a formal update to get this feature as Google has already patched it in to Google Now. Do you find this new addition useful? Let us know in the comments below.
