Samsung Galaxy Mega 6.3 on AT&T getting the Android 4.4.2 update

Galaxy Mega 6.3

AT&T has just begun the rollout of the coveted Android 4.4.2 update for the Samsung Galaxy Mega smartphone. This is the 6.3 inch version of the handset (SGH-i527) and the update will be rolled out over the course of the next few days. The update comes with a quite a few changes and includes a couple of new apps like Beats Music and ISIS Wallet.

Other changes are mostly related to Android with the addition of Immersive Mode, a camera shortcut on the lockscreen and WiFi based cloud printing with compatible printers. The software version will change to I527UCUBNE7 after the update, so make a note of that. Samsung claims that the update can be postponed a maximum of three times after which it will be automatically downloaded and updated. As the update is pretty big in size, it will only be downloaded over WiFi.

If you own the AT&T Galaxy Mega and have received the update already, make sure you let us know by dropping a comment below.

  1. I think this is the update I am getting on my Phone. It was about 500+MB and only over WiFi. Will edit or post when it finishes.
