Evleaks is at it again, this time revealing that the Desire 610 could be a new smartphone on its way to AT&T. Well, it’s not exactly a new phone since it’s been available in Europe and a few other markets for some time now, but the leak suggests that the Desire 610 will make its US debut with AT&T, though it remains to be seen if it will be exclusive to the carrier.
The leaked image shows an AT&T folder on the homescreen, which is pretty much the only indication that it’s a variant for AT&T and not other carriers. In terms of hardware, the Desire 610 is decidedly mid-range, with a 4.7-inch qHD display, 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 CPU, 1GB of RAM, 8-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, 8GB of internal storage and a microSD slot, LTE, HSDPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, and a 2,040 mAh battery. There are stereo speakers on the front with a design unlike that found on the HTC One lineup, and the phone also runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Sense 6.
There’s no information on when the Desire 610 will launch on AT&T and whether it will carry a different name when it does, though it shouldn’t be long before more details pop up online.
