Chromecast Now Available In Brazil For A Premium Price

The Chromecast is now available in another country. Today, the Chromecast has officially arrived in Brazil, supporting Netflix, YouTube, Google Play, Rdio, and more services. Due to Brazil’s high import tax on products, it doesn’t cost the equivalent as other countries’ prices though.

The Chromecast costs R$199, which is about US$88. That’s a big premium to the regular US price of $35. But since most imported electronics cost a premium over prices in other countries, this is to be expected.

Even though the Chromecast is pricier in Brazil than other places, are you still interested in buying one? They are available directly from Google on Google Play.
